CONGRÈS 2017
The Annual Parents’ Conference
On November 24 and 25, representatives of parents' associations from across British Columbia will participate in the Fédération des parents 2017 conference and AGM.
The annual event, which will take place at the Executive Airport Plaza in Richmond, promises to be a perfect opportunity for representatives of parents' associations to network with others from all over the province.
Through activities designed to meet their needs, they'll leave the conference better equipped to work within their school community.
What to Expect at the Parents' Conference?
The opening night is traditionally an excellent opportunity for parents to exchange information in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. An icebreaker activity will ensure that all delegates -- whether they're at their very first conference or are returning participants -- can take full advantage of this unique time for networking as well as meet with various school and community partners.
During the evening, one BC parents’ association will be awarded the Parents’ Association of the Year Award. Also, the prestigious annual Award of Excellence in Early Childhood Education will be given to an educator working in a Francophone early childhood centre.
Saturday will be devoted to presentations and workshops that have been chosen to address the needs expressed by parents in our network. The annual general meeting of the Fédération des parents will take place in the afternoon.
Please note that each parents' association that is a member of the Fédération des parents is invited to send two delegates to the conference, and that delegates will have access to a free childcare service on-site during the conference (advance registration is required).
The full conference schedule and electronic registration form will soon be available on our website at: www.fpfcb.bc.ca/congrès-et-aga-2017.
