An Event that brought the Community Together

In September 2017, the parents’ association at l’école Rose-des-vents in Vancouver wanted to consolidate its many fundraising events, which had been organized separately before, to create larger events which could be both profitable and unifying at the same time.

Organized with this in mind, the traditional Christmas market held last December was a great success.

Thanks to the work of parent volunteers as well as students from several grades, this social event led to substantial fundraising and brought together the school’s families and the surrounding Francophone community in a festive, sharing atmosphere.

Francophone vendors and artisans were able to promote their products while giving members of the community, and families from other Francophone schools in the area, the chance to do their holiday shopping and enjoy the market’s delicacies. .
