Strategies to Mobilize and Engage Parents
Parents who took part in the annual Fédération des parents conference in November were quite impressed by the workshop led by Christine McLeod, our guest speaker.
Ms. McLeod, a consultant and trainer in leadership who works with companies across Canada and internationally, is also President of the parents' association (APÉ) of l’école Les Aiglons in Squamish.
Christine captured all workshop participants’ attention with her dynamic and inspiring presentation on strategies to mobilize and engage members of the community. Everyone came out of the workshop with plenty of enthusiasm, new ideas, and potential solutions to implement at home!
Did you miss this amazing workshop? Well, you can now watch Christine's presentation online on our website! During the video, she tells us of the experience in her community, explaining how the APÉ was able to face major challenges by fostering greater participation from parents. She also shares practical examples of strategies implemented in the école Les Aiglons community to transform a group of parents into a "high performance" team, where each parent is motivated to do their part to achieve common objectives!
We invite you to watch this 38-minute video as soon as possible. Why not organize a group viewing of the video at a meeting of your parents' association, so as to share the experience with other members of your school community?
