Every year, during the opening evening of the conference, the prestigious "Award of Excellence in Early Childhood Education in British Columbia" is presented to an educator.

An educator working in the centre préscolaire La Coccinelle in Surrey, Angélique Martin, won the honour for 2014/2015.

Angélique distinguished herself with her great creativity and her spontaneity, as much with the children as with her colleagues. Very motivated to integrate new elements into the preschool program, she demonstrated leadership and explored innovative approaches to create new learning scenarios to delight the children.
