SECONDARY SCHOOL

Parents of Secondary Students, Let's Get Together!

The Fédération des parents is connecting with parents of secondary school students in a series of meetings in several BC regions.

What's the object of this exercise? To better understand the needs of parents of secondary school students, in order to better respond to them.

These meetings will give parents, mainly of children in Grades 7 to 12 enrolled in a CSF school, the chance to explore, identify, and talk about their concerns, in an atmosphere that fosters listening, sharing, and discussion.

The Fédération des parents team will collect the main points of the discussions and prepare a list of needs. The team will then, with the help of the Fédération's partners and their expertise, undertake to create tools or resources to encourage parents' support and commitment to their children, school, and community.

Parents' associations (APÉs) that are interested in inviting the Fédération des parents team to hold a meeting in their school are requested to contact us now to ensure that their community is part of the tour! Altogether, we plan to hold ten meetings between November 2016 and April 2017. First come, first served!

More than ever, the Fédération will be listening to parents of secondary school students! Parents of Grade 7 to Grade 12 students: let's get together!
