A Workshop Offered to Immigrant Parents in Surrey
On March 16 in Surrey, about 15 immigrant parents, whose children are enrolled at l’école Gabrielle-Roy in Surrey and l’école des Pionniers-de-Maillardville in Port Coquitlam, attended a workshop on communication between parents and young people.
The workshop, which was hosted by Michelle Marsan of the Fédération des parents francophones de Colombie-Britannique, was organized in collaboration with the Services des travailleurs en établissement des familles immigrantes dans les écoles (TÉFIÉ) of the Conseil scolaire francophone de la C.-B.
The workshop was greatly appreciated by the participants, who were able to explore together some different approaches to fostering caring relationships with their children.
