About 15 parents got together to participate in the “How to Talk So Teens Will Listen and Listen So Teens Will Talk” workshop, offered in January at l’école Au-cœur-de-l’île in Comox.

This workshop was organized by the school’s parents’ association in collaboration with the Fédération des parents francophones de C.-B.

At the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to network and to explore some useful tools for promoting beneficial interactions with their teenage children. They were also able to take part in role-playing. At times the roles were very revealing; they allowed the parents to put themselves in their children’s situation!

The evening was a great success, thanks to learning, exchanging information, and enjoying some laughs as well.
