A Guide in the Jungle of Apps for Children
Have you heard of EduLulu? This website, available in French and English, describes itself as the Canadian reference for educational apps in French and English for 2 to 17 year olds.
In light of the growing presence of touch screens in the lives of children and teens, and the ever-expanding number of available apps, parents need quality guides and references to help them make informed educational content choices. Created for parents and teachers, EduLulu is the first public evaluation service for educational apps available in Canada for iOS and Android devices.
EduLulu’s evaluations are done by teams of independent experts including teachers, parents, ergonomists, designers, and web developers. Together, they evaluate, grade, and comment on new educational apps.
What's more, the website is very user-friendly. You can easily research apps by age, language, category, value (free or paid), etc., as well as browse a section called “Lulu’s Picks”, which presents the editorial team's favorite apps.
To stay informed about new apps tested by EduLulu, you can subscribe to their newsletter, or follow them on social media.
