New recruit for the board of directors
Marie-Christine Claveau, new representative for the Northern Region
A native of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, I have lived in British Columbia since 2001.
I first lived in Squamish, and then the Kootenays, and finally Rosswood, near Terrace, where I am working as a forest technician. I paint as well; this is my passion and real occupation.
I have a daughter, Lily, 7 years old, who is in Grade 2 at Terrace’s wonderful little Francophone school, l’école Jack Cook. Finding a Francophone school for my daughter was a priority during our search for a place to establish ourselves.
Our region is vast and still quite wild; it has a richness that often brings with it great challenges. The people of northern BC are down-to-earth and creative, and that's what I hope to bring to the Fédération des parents francophones as the Northern Region board member.
I’m starting this new challenge with a mind full of ideas, and I really hope to be able to serve our children.
